Description: Founded in 1997, International Justice Mission (IJM) is one of the leading anti-slavery organizations in the world. IJM partners with local authorities in 29 field offices across 17 countries to combat slavery, violence against women and children, and police abuse of power against people who are poor. IJM works with local authorities and governments to rescue and restore survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and help strengthen public justice systems so they can better protect people from violence. In Asia Pacific, IJM operates through coordinated offices in Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia to protect people in poverty from labor trafficking, forced labor, and other forms of violent labor exploitation. In the Philippines, IJM works with the government and partners to stop the online sexual exploitation of children. IJM Hong Kong is part of IJM’s global justice movement working towards our 2030 vision of protecting 500 million people in poverty from violence.
