- The PIME missionaries are Catholic priests and brothers actively involved in human development and the promotion of justice and peace. Our ministries include the foundation of schools, hospitals and clinics, orphanages, and care for the poor. The final goal of our work is to form Christian communities which, through the active and full participation in the salvation of Christ, will become living images of humanity renewed in Him. Today, PIME has seminaries in Italy, Brazil, India and Cameroon, with about 450 missionaries from Japan, Philippines, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, Italy, USA, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Cameroon, Guinea Bissau, Togo and the Ivory Coast, working in 18 countries.
