Arts and Culture and HumanitiesHandsOn Hong Kong is a registered charity in Hong Kong, founded in 2007. We develops service programs to help local, under-served non-profit organizations and connect them with the volunteer manpower they need to achieve their mission. With a record 1.65 million Hong Kong people living in poverty, it is critical that we each do our part to support communities in need. At HandsOn we harness the spirit to serve in our city by empowering everyone in Hong Kong to volunteer. Every month, our team runs 200 volunteer activities on the HandsOn calendar as a free service. Each activity mobilizes Hongkongers to support under-resourced local charities and the vulnerable groups they serve. HandsOn provides behind-the-scenes support and trusted advisory to our charity partners year-round, serving as a vital extension of their teams. The spirit to serve in Hong Kong is stronger than ever, with over 45,000 volunteers in the HandsOn community. They support and connect with tens of thousands of people in need and critical causes every year. We pledge to continue harnessing this people power and growing collective impact in our beloved city.

World Vision Hong Kong
Human ServicesIn 1962, Typhoon Wanda hit Hong Kong severely. World Vision distributed relief supplies in Hong Kong, and later set up its first field office in the territory. With the economic recovery in Hong Kong, World Vision Hong Kong turned itself into a fundraising office in 1982, supporting the relief and development work of World Vision offices world-wide. In 2018, the people of Hong Kong sponsored over 230,000 children living in poverty, helping to fund World Vision Hong Kong’s international long-term ‘Area Development Programmes’. World Vision Hong Kong also promotes public education, raising public awareness about global issues such as poverty, hunger, health and child rights.

MakerBay Foundation Limited
Arts and Culture and HumanitiesIn 2017, MakerBay Foundation was established by Cesar Jung-Harada, a Japanese-French educator, environmentalist, and entrepreneur, in order help underserved youth to make an impact by developing their maker skills and mindset, as well as forming an inclusive maker community. We operate from one of the largest makerspace in Hong Kong to offer people the space, tools and training to become innovators. For our projects, we have developed a comprehensive innovation curriculum, backed by a large community of scientists, artists, researchers and experts from Academia. Apart from the makerspace in Tsuen Wan and a smaller one in PMQ Central, we also assist in setting up makerspaces in youth centers and schools, both in Hong Kong and abroad. Lifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation
HealthLifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation is a registered charitable organization (IRD File No: 91/4895) established in 1997 in Hong Kong, to raise funds to support the operation of the Lifeline Express. Lifeline Express is a well-equipped hospital eye-train, aiming to provide free operations for the underprivileged cataract patients in Mainland China. This purpose-built four compartments eye-train consists of an Examination Room, two Operating Theatres, a Patient Ward, a Multi-function Conference Room and a Living Quarter for medical team. In July 1, 1997, the first hospital eye-train embarked on its mission of light to Fuyang City, Auhui Province, China. In 1999, 2002 and 2009 the second, third and fourth hospital eye-trains come into service.

EducationHong Kong Seagull Scholarship was established by Mr. Lo Yuk Tong, Executive Advisor of The Toys Manufacturers' Association of HK. His idea originated during a visit to Gansu Hope School project activities in 1998.During his time there he heard that a university student had fainted in class and he learned that she had been selling her blood in order to pay for her studies. This touched Mr. Lo’s heart and on his return to Hong Kong he was determined he would do something to help students in similar situations. He set up “Seagulls” which is a voluntary organization to collect funds to provide grants for impoverished students in China to complete their studies and prepare them for a worthwhile place in society. Purpose: The aim of the "Seagull" group is intended to motivate students in poor areas to be like the seagulls bird, fearless with a strong spirit and constantly striving for ideals. Together with this the passing through of love for students with the action called "little candles" which brings warmth and light. The assisted student with ability can enjoy helping others by passing on the candlelight, a flame burning with flourishing spirit forever, so that more students can complete their studies.
