About the organisation
The Amber Foundation is based in Hong Kong and is the charitable arm of a locally based, Canadian family with deep roots in the city. Our mission is to provide support for a variety of underserved communities in Hong Kong and across South Asia. The Amber Foundation has two major projects: 1) The Toiletries Project: working with over 40 different HK-based charities in a variety of different fields, including rescuing and repurposing airline kit and hotel toiletries for street sleepers, women in shelters, refugees, and the elderly in Hong Kong; and 2) EMPOWER: providing scholarships and workshops to build a business network for ethnic minority women in university.
