The Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation was established by Dr. Henry Fong Yun Wah, The late Chairman of Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited, and his late father, Mr. Fong Shu Chuen in 1977. The Fong’s Family Foundation was founded in November 1986. Both foundations are under the chairmanship of Mr. David Fong Man Hung. It is paramount to give back to society and those in need. Every year, the Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation and Fong’s Family Foundation donate approximately 10% – 15% of the profits they make from the family business to support charitable causes across Hong Kong and Mainland China. With an aim to give back to society and make it a better place, the donations are used mainly in education, elderly and children caring services, medical services, poverty alleviation and other charitable causes.

The “EasyHear” Charity Fund is a government-registered charity organization. It provides subsidies to grassroots people in financial difficulties who may not be able to afford the price of products, and those in need, so that they can lead a normal life. Applicants need to be referred by social workers, fill in the application form together with the required supporting documents, and pass the internal audit of the foundation.

As a focus of human interest in the ancient world, horses have been considered beautiful, noble and powerful – they symbolize the strength of a kingdom. The wonderful collection of art in this book is a reminder of this strong attraction. Being aware of the fact that the future prosperity, the well-being of the country and its people are dependent on the advancement of educational level of the citizens, Dragon Culture Charity Fund Limited is set up. Having spent nearly ten years on the collection with more than a million Hong Kong dollars put into the research, design and production of this book, all gross proceeds from the sales of Horses for Eternity will go to the Fund for the development of basic education in deprived rural areas in Mainland China as well as to support many other needy ones in our society. Concord Fortune Charity Fund Limited was established in 2011 by Concord Fortune Group as an approved charity institution under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance of the HKSAR. To kick start the Fund, Concord Fortune Group has injected an initial endowment and has pledged to donate ongoing funding from its day-to-day operations: with the amount of funding directly linked to the tonnage of materials traded by the Group. This ties in with the Group’s core business philosophy - to “give back” to the community within which we operate. The main focus of the Fund is to help underprivileged children to equip themselves through education and proper training so they can earn their living independently as well as make their contribution to society in the future. To minimise the administrative cost, as well as giving its colleagues an opportunity to work and contribute to the community, Concord Fortune Group encourages the personal participation of staff and also their families. Concord Fortune Charity Fund also welcomes collaboration with other non-profit organisations to conduct projects which help socially vulnerable groups in Hong Kong.
