For most hearing-impaired people and the elderly, a suitable hearing aid can help them overcome the obstacles caused by hearing loss, restore the ability to communicate with others, regain self-confidence, and integrate into society. The “EasyHear” Charity Fund is a government-registered charity organization. It provides subsidies to grassroots people in financial difficulties who may not be able to afford the price of products, and those in need, so that they can lead a normal life. Applicants need to be referred by social workers, fill in the application form together with the required supporting documents, and pass the internal audit of the foundation.

Cancerlink - Support & Resource Centre

Hong Kong Cancer Fund is the city’s largest cancer support organisation, providing free information and professional support to anyone living with or affected by cancer. Established in 1987, our vision was to better the quality of cancer support in Hong Kong and ensure that no one faces cancer alone. We began by offering free information and support, which has slowly expanded over time to address all aspects of care. Our work encompasses professional psychosocial care services, home care, peer support, funding of hospital equipment and local cancer research, public education, and much more, filling the gaps in cancer care. Hong Kong Cancer Fund's services are free. Receiving no money from the government or the Community Chest, we rely solely on public generosity to sustain our free and ongoing cancer support services. We advocate for proactive planning approaches to address the challenges of end-of-life journeys, using tools such as advance directive, caring plan, funerals and related instructions. If an individual, ailing or otherwise, unexpectedly becomes unconscious and/or unable to recover, their family members and doctors can follow their expressed preferences to make the appropriate arrangements for their transition. In this way, the patient can live their final moments with the greatest dignity.
