The objective of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund is to award scholarships to some of the most talented graduates each year of universities in the People's Republic of China and in Hong Kong to enable them to study at the University of Oxford in England in order for them to realise their full potential and to return home to contribute in leadership positions to the development of their homeland. Currently, the trustees limit the granting of scholarships to those students engaged in postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. In support of this objective, the Fund is engaged in fund-raising, investment, educational and career advice and pastoral care and mentoring of the scholars both during and after their time at the University of Oxford. These activities are carried out in conjunction with those of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund, the Fund's sister charity, being a charity registered in the United Kingdom. The Awards Committee uses the following criteria in selecting the students to be granted scholarships: • Possessing a confirmed place at Oxford; • Being from an under-privileged family; • Speaking sufficiently good English to benefit from the experience of being at the University of Oxford; • Having an all-round personality, not solely academic; • Showing clear signs of leadership capability in any field; • Being committed to returning home and contributing to the future development of their homeland. The Awards Committee interviews a short list of applicants each year and recommends candidates for the trustees’ decision. The Fund is constituted under a Deed of Declaration of Trust dated 9 March 1992, as varied by Deeds of Variation dated 30 November 2006 and 7 March 2007. The overall day to day management of the Fund is carried out by the seven trustees who are also responsible for significant decisions of a long term operational nature. The trustees are assisted in the day to day management of the Fund by two committees: the Finance Committee and the Awards Committee. The members of these committees are either trustees or friends of the Fund who provide their time and expertise to the Fund on an honorary basis. The trustees are also assisted by one part time employee. The Fund is a non profit organisation registered with the Inland Revenue Department of the Government of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong (#91-03682). As such, it is exempt from taxation on its charitable activities in Hong Kong.

Every year throughout Asia millions of men and women immigrate to find work needed to support their families. This migration process is fraught with challenges, many of which are initiated by unethical and often illegal agency practices. Employment agencies are often legally required for the migration process. But rather than representing the best interests of the migrant worker and the eventual employer, these agencies often manipulate the process for their own selfish interest. This can leave the workers in significant debt, can lead to exploitation, and often leaves the employer without a suitable employee match. Migrasia is a non-profit making online platform hoping to end unethical agency practices, and professionalize the migrant labor placement process. Our platform allows both workers and employers to rate and comment on their respective employment agencies. We hope to professionalise the migrant labour placement process by bringing transparency to agency practices, both good and bad. We are dedicated to promoting a fair recruitment process for migrant workers, and to ensuring employers find the right match for their families. Exploitation of domestic workers is a major social concern in Hong Kong and throughout Asia. These workers make up nearly 4% of HK's population, and nearly 10% of HK's working population, making them vital to the success of HK's economy. Because of HK's ageing population, more migrant laborers will be needed in the coming years. Migrasia will provide a transparent pathway for migration, both for employer and employee. Every journey has a story to tell. It all started in the summer of 2011, as students back then from various disciplines at the University of Hong Kong, we joined a programme called the Migrant Outreach Education Initiative (MOEI) organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences. In the programme, we were given the opportunity to teach English to a group of Myanmar refugee / migrant children along the Thai-Burma border. While the children absorb knowledge at a speed of a sponge, we volunteers too were given a pair of new lens as we see a world beyond our privileged setting. As we all returned to Hong Kong with a heavy heart, we pondered on how we could give back to this community, a group of smiling faces who took us in almost immediately as one of them - as family. It was then we decided to use what we learnt in University, our knowledge from our respective disciplines, to pay it forward to this land we proudly called our second home. And this has become the spark of our journey. From there on sprang our School Construction programme, Playground Renovation programme, Street Law programme, Journalism Literacy programme, Medical programme and many more. Each year, University students from various disciplines through different summer voluntary programmes head to the Thai-Burma border and various cities in Myanmar to conduct workshops and projects, translating their knowledge into practical use, and along so built strong and lasting friendships with the Myanmar community. From developing programmes and projects, in the year 2017, we also began funding our first batch of Myanmar students to Universities abroad via our Scholarship Scheme - many of which we got acquainted years ago in our summer programmes as participants or members of our local partnering organisations. The journey continues as we explore what lies ahead in the next chapter - and we invite you too to join us as we dream and envision an empathetic world where everyone has the equal opportunity to realise their potentials and aspirations.

The Asia Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM) conducts activities and programs that empower grassroots migrants in Asia, Pacific and Middle East regions to promote their dignity, wellbeing and rights. Developing sympathy and support for migrants from among the legal, medical, academic, service and faith communities; 5. The regional office of the APMM is based in Hong Kong with program and project staff in other countries in the region. APMM has partners in 14 countries and territories (Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Macau SAR, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, South Korea, Taiwan ROC, and Thailand) where localised activities and programs are conducted). Additionally, APMM does secretariat and coordination work for bigger formations as International Migrants Alliance (IMA), Alliance of Marriage Migrants Organisations for Rights and Empowerment (AMMORE), and the Interfaith Network for the Rights of Migrants (INFORM).
