Public and Societal BenefitWe provide medical care to help people survive catastrophic situations, where communities and health structures may be overwhelmed. Our core work is providing emergency medical assistance in situations of armed conflict. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality and impartiality. We do not take sides but seek to bring assistance to those who need it most urgently. In situations of conflict, we do not accept funds from governments or other parties who are directly involved. MSF has a commitment to address the suffering people endure and the obstacles encountered in providing assistance. We are constantly seeking to improve the quality, relevance and extent of our assistance, and we are dedicated to the pursuit of innovation. When we witness serious acts of violence, neglected crises, or obstructions to its activities, MSF may speak out about this. MSF was founded in Paris, France in 1971. Today, MSF is a worldwide movement of 24 associations. MSF International, which binds these associations together, is based in Geneva, Switzerland. MSF is an independent, self-governed, non-profit organisation. It operates programmes in more than 60 countries worldwide. Human ServicesBehind the prosperity of Hong Kong, many family relationships have changed, and children's personal growth has also been deeply affected. Many education professionals say that the issue of core values for teenagers in the 21st century is another challenge in today's Hong Kong society, and teenagers will become the crux of social, family and educational problems. Most of the young people we plan to serve come from grassroots families. With the lack of social resources, we decided to stand up and lend a helping hand to become their fellow travelers on the road of life.

HK Shark Foundation Limited
Environment and AnimalsWHO ARE WE? Hong Kong Shark Foundation (HKSF) is a registered charity dedicated exclusively to shark conservation. We aim to raise awareness about shark conservation, particularly the unsustainable practice of shark finning, and to reduce consumption of shark products in Hong Kong. https://www.hksharkfoundation.org/about-us/ WHAT'S THE CHALLENGE? Every year, over 100 million sharks are caught worldwide for shark fins and other products, with over 50% of the world’s shark fin being traded through Hong Kong alone. As apex predators, sharks are a crucial part of the marine food chain. The demand for shark products has contributed to the rapid decline of many species, with several already nearing extinction. Removing sharks from our oceans will threaten the delicate balance of ecosystems that are valuable sources of food and key elements in regulating our climate. HKSF believes this a rare opportunity for people everywhere, especially in Hong Kong, to make a significant impact on a global scale. Please act now by helping raising awareness about shark conservation and by educating people to reduce the consumption of shark products globally to save the world’s sharks. OUR IMPACT To understand the impact our work has, we have put together an Impact Statement to show you our KPI's and ROI of our support. For more details, see link below: https://www.hksharkfoundation.org/2025/01/hksf-2024-impact-statement/ WHERE DOES YOUR DONATION GO? Your donation will be put towards excellent use helping us raise awareness about shark conservation through several of our campaigns as laid out below. You can also check out our website donation page here: https://www.hksharkfoundation.org/donations/. Active Campaigns: 1. Education - Our Shark Ambassador education program reached over 10,00 kids in 2024 at over 50 schools. HKSF's Shark Ambassador Education Program is a student-driven initiative that enables motivated students here in Hong Kong to become a vital part of the shark conservation movement. HKSF focuses on SDG #14LifeBelowWater and provides the mentoring, the training and basic materials to help new Shark Ambassadors learn more about the importance of marine conservation and sustainability, as well as how to best engage their peers. Once Shark Ambassadors have participated in our talk and training, they go out into their schools and communities hosting events, organizing fundraisers, and working with their teachers and HKSF to integrate conservation messages into the existing curriculum. To learn more, check out https://hksfambassador.wixsite.com/hksfambassador 2. Shark-Free Company - HKSF is keen to encourage all companies to set a good example for their respective industries and pledge to be a shark free company because we believe that, in today’s market, there is no need to serve shark’s fin in order to show respect or win favour. Human ServicesThe Hong Kong Arbitration Charity Ball (HKACB) is held annually to raise funds to support local Hong Kong charities and assist in the development of arbitration across Asia. While we are aware that the past three years have been challenging for most of us on many levels, we also know that charities in Hong Kong struggle even more now with less resources and more people in need for their help. This is why we are making a point to raise as much money as possible to support two charities who do fantastic work in Hong Kong, namely the Refugee Union and Wise Women.
