We believe everyone should have an opportunity to learn how to swim. It is a life skill that empowers and connects people. Teaching people to swim and to be safe around water is what we do. But why we do it is to share the joy of swimming with thousands of people who have never had the opportunity to learn. And for many, swim lessons are financially out of reach. That is a problem we wanted to address. So, in 2015 we started Splash, Hong Kong's only charitable organisation teaching people from under-resourced communities how to swim. We currently teach migrant domestic workers and local kids, ages 7-16 from low-income families including kids with special needs. Swimming is different from other sports. Our participants learn a skill that might save their life one day. But it's more than that. They also develop confidence in overcoming something that is scary at first and they join a supportive community, both of which impacts their mental well being too. Since 2015, we have taught nearly 3,000 people how to swim. Splash has created a popular and engaging 12 hour (1 hour per week) learn-to-swim programme, teaching water safety skills, propulsion and water confidence; 9 out of 10 people who start the programme complete the programme. Our curriculum is effective and efficient. At the end of the programme 88% of participants can swim 25 meters. We've trained 200+ volunteer coaches. The Splash Beginner programme focuses on mastering essential skills for water safety, water confidence, and basic forms of forward propulsion. Over the course of 12 instructional hours, our objective-driven lessons emphasize three key areas: balance and buoyancy, breath control, and calm, controlled movements. The curriculum follows a logical skill progression that makes learning to swim fun, manageable, and empowering. Many of our participants experience fears or anxiety about being in water. Others don’t exercise regularly. Some live in extremely stressful environments. As volunteer swim coaches, we see people flourish in and out of the water. Self-esteem increases as participants overcome challenges, learn a life skill, and become a ‘swimmer’. Physical and mental well-being builds as participants realise the water environment can be an oasis from the harsh humdrum of the city. The swimming pool becomes a place of joyful recreation. Horizons widen with many of our participants continuing to swim in groups at their local pools, competing in open water swim races, or returning to their families with a skill and knowledge to pass on to loved ones. Underpinning all of what we do is a sense of community. Splash brings people together, building bonds between people and giving our participants a sense of belonging. In a world increasingly divided, our work reminds us that young or old, Hong Kong Chinese, Filipino or Indonesian; we’re all just human and are not so different in a swim cap and goggles.

Our History The ABM Hong Kong Swatow Baptist Church Community Service Association (its alias: ABMSBC) was formed on 20th October 2004. ABMSBC is formed to recognize the actual makeup and organization of our agency. American Baptist Mission has a long working relationship with Swatow Baptist Churches. The history of cooperation can be dated back to 1954. Over the years as various Swatow Baptist Churches have been interested in supporting and running various social service programs, the American Baptist Mission has agreed to render its name and support to facilitate this process. This arrangement has been effective and our services have become well established. The churches feel it would be most appropriate to administer these various programs through a local non-profit agency. The American Baptist Mission agrees. Therefore, ABMSBC has been set up to formally take up all the social and educational services under American Baptist Mission with effect from 1st April 2005. Our Social Services I. Children & Youth Services (a) Fung Tak Baptist Children & Youth Integrated Services: The “Fung Tak Baptist Children & Youth Integrated Services” (FTCYIS) offers centre-based, school and outreaching services to the children & youth since September 2002. It has rendered service in Kowloon East since 1992. (b) Stationing School Social Work Services We have been offering social work services to secondary schools, primary schools and kindergarten since 2000, 2002 and 2005 respectively. II. Family & Community Services (a) Moon Lok Community Service Centre: The Centre is located in Tsuen Wan. It commenced its services in 1967. However, due to limitations in resources, the Centre was temporarily closed in early 1990’s. Then, it resumed its delivery of services to the community in 2004. (b) Clinical Psychology Service: The Clinical Psychology Service has been developed since October 2006. Our Clinical Psychology Team offers a wide range of services for children and families on individual and group basis. The Team is staffed with a Clinical Psychologist and Registered Social Workers. Our services include counseling and therapy, educational and psychological assessment, parenting training as well as family therapy. We render therapeutic services to the students with Special Educational Needs at various primary schools. III. Caring Service The main objective of this service to look after people’s physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs through provision of caring services. Special attention is paid to the underprivileged. IV. Poverty Eradication Programs (a) Daily Meal Network (Wong Tai Sin/Sai Kung) (DMN) – Short-term Food Assistance Services (Government funded): We are the principal service operator of the Daily Meal Network (Wong Tai Sin/Sai Kung) – Short-term Food Assistance Services subsidized by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) with effect from 1 August 2018. Prior to that, we have been one of the five Co-organizing agencies of Daily Meal Network also subsidized by the SWD in Kowloon East from 27 February 2009 to 31 July 2018. (b) Abundant Blessing Meal (ABM) – Short-term Food Assistance Services (Self-financed): The predominant goal of this service is to relieve the underprivileged group’s hardship in livelihood by providing them with short term food assistance. This is a self-financed program developed to help those who require a longer period of food assistance than that offered by DMN. (c) Children Fun Fun Fun: This program aims at widening the underprivileged children’s horizon and enriching their life exposure through provision of alternative learning opportunities, such as visits and outings. (d) Learning Opportunities The Program provides the underprivileged children with free learning opportunities, including tutorials and interest classes, etc. (e) ABM Embrace Ladies’ Club: The primary objective of this program is to empower the disadvantaged women with self-belief and skills that will assist them in making a positive contribute to their families and community. (f) Assistance of daily necessities: Assistance of daily necessities are rendered to the underprivileged through donation-in-kind raised by our agency. (g) Charities Sale The revenue generated from the Charities Sales will be used for supporting the Poverty Eradication Programs. Our Educational Services (a) Moon Lok Kindergarten: The Moon Lok Kindergarten was started in Tsuen Wan in 1965. It is our Agency’s mission to serve the children and their families, especially the underprivileged, through this Kindergarten. (b) Adult Education Programs: Training courses with different themes are organized for adults.

The Bethel Foundation currently supports the Bethel China Project (in China), SPACE Project (in the Philippines), and Project Butterfly (Worldwide). Bethel China is a not-for-profit organization that provides foster care, training and therapy for Chinese orphans who are blind or visually impaired. In addition, Bethel strengthens existing Chinese institutions by capacity building caregivers through workshops, e-learning, consultancy and training materials that focus on raising the quality of care for VI orphans. Based in the Philippines, on the island of Cebu, the SPACE Project (Special People Accessing Creative Education) was launched by The Bethel Foundation in 2012. latest project. The project provides education for disadvantaged children living in the slums. While being active in Cebu, The Bethel Foundation also provided first response support to those affected by the Yolanda Typhoon. Project Butterfly provides leadership and counseling to non-profits. The project provides individual coaching, educational materials, and retreats to those seeking to take their project to the next level. While The Bethel Foundation continues to support these three projects, the Foundation is researching new projects for the future.

Branches of Hope, founded in 2012, is a registered tax-exempt charity working to restore dignity, justice and hope to the marginalised and vulnerable in Hong Kong. It is dedicated to supporting refugees, asylum-seekers (non-refoulement claimants) and those who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation through Care, Empowerment and Social Awareness. Branches of Hope achieves this through its two service programmes: the Refugee Opportunity and Development (ROAD) programme and the Stop Trafficking of People (STOP) programme. ROAD supports over 1000 refugees and asylum seekers, mainly from African and Southeast Asian nations. ROAD’s mission is to equip, educate and empower individuals and families to become positive and contributing members of our community. STOP aims to end human trafficking in and through Hong Kong. STOP provides protection support to those who experienced human trafficking and exploitation, educates the vulnerable community to prevent human trafficking from happening, and conducts research to build capacity for responding to these issues.

關於中華傳道會證基堂 中華傳道會證基堂（前為基督教證基堂），創於1994年1月23日。「證基堂」名稱強調為基督作見證，建立一甜蜜、充滿基督馨香之氣的群體。2013年1月20日證基堂正式加入中華傳道會成為會員堂。 早期本堂聚會地點座落於沙田大圍區，包括曾租用唐樓、購買村屋作崇拜、團契小組、主日學及培訓之用。於2004年起租用區內中學禮堂作主日崇拜之用，並於2010 年購置「成全工業大廈」單位，主要用作辦公室、團契小組聚會。感謝神！於2017 年7月覓得合適地方，成功購入位於沙田石門區之新堂址，並於2018年4月1日正式作崇拜、團契及小組聚會之用。 本堂成立之初，尚未聘得傳道，故由弟兄姊妹分擔事奉，並成立堂委會發展教會事工。自1995年起，陸續聘得多名傳道同工，使教會發展漸趨穩定。在1999年，以「屬靈目標導向」發展教會，並成立執事會，落實以屬靈目標導向推動堂會發展，並以建立佈差、團契、敬拜、培訓、支援及祈禱各事工部門，彼此配搭，推動堂會事工。本堂按著聖經的教導，以「成為愛神愛人的門徒群體」為目標。多年來，參與沙田大圍區內的聯合佈道事工，包括中小學校、醫院、福音機構。與區內教會建立友好的關係，更積極推動地區、校園及職場轉化運動。自2017 年起，本堂重新探討未來發展方向，並確立以「門訓教會」為重點，「活出生命、承傳使命」為目標。鼓勵信徒要成為門徒，不但要裝備自己，紮根於聖經，忠心事奉；更要有生活見證，以品格塑造和靈命培育達致全人成長；本堂亦與區內教會聯絡，共同推動佈道、培訓等工作。

本會的母會白田浸信會蒙 神豐盛恩典，聚會人數不斷增加，地方不敷使用。執事會於1991年向教會提出建立分堂、拓展神的國度，並於同年年底在會員大會通過。 我們建堂時經歷 神豐富預備。在人力上， 神預備三十多位弟兄姊妹聯同黃鳳鸞傳道一同事奉；在經濟上， 神也豐豐富富預備，讓我們以信心認獻籌集獻金支付新堂首期和裝修費。本會於1992年4月購置元州街順景樓2樓，於同年7月12日獻堂及開始聚會。 本會定名為「烙恩浸信會」，意思是把神的恩典烙記於心。 本會在1993年成立會章小組，1994年6月30日以「烙恩浸信會有限公司」名義於香港政府註冊為非牟利宗教慈善團體。 感謝神，聚會人數增加及事工發展，本會於1997年購買青山道麗瑞閣2樓，並於同年年底遷入。及後又租用同樓上層一個單位作聚會場地。
