Established in late 2014, Wheel Power Challenge is a non-profit initiative which strives co-create an inclusive society for ALL. Through organizing various experiential programmes, we believe it can challenge our stereotypes and bring about insights into the connections of the environmental design and our everyday life. It drives advocacy for a more barrier-free society. Co-Founders of Wheel Power Challenge come from diverse walks of life, but share the same vision — to co-create an empathetic and barrier-free Hong Kong society. We believe experiential programs could challenge our stereotypes and bring about changes through our first-hand experiences of using wheelchairs to appreciate the community. We also believe each of us could contribute to the establishment of an inclusive society. To infuse a stream of “WheelPower 滾動力量” to the society: WheelPower = (Experience＋Explore＋Embrace) x Empathy Experience the characteristic ways of life of our community; Explore the environmental design of our society; Embrace the inherent beauty of our diversity. Since establishment, we have as organized 50+ experiential programs involving 1000+ participants to promote the message of social inclusion and barrier-free society. We have collaborated with a number of organizations, e.g. educational institutions, corporates, and NGOs for experiential programs or giving sharing on the concepts of “barrier-free society”, “accessibility”, and “social inclusion”. Our highlighted experiential programs currently include “Wheel We Meet? 滾動相遇”, “Wheel We Hike? 滾動上山“, and “Wheel To Beach 滾動落海”. We keep exploring different new possibilities of experiential programs for you all!

In February 2001, Pastor Joshua returned to Hong Kong to look for a suitable place for worship from May onwards. At the airport, whilst awaiting his flight back to Taipei, the Holy Spirit spoke to Pastor Cheung and gave him a verse from Isaiah 61:1 `The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners’as the vision of the church and revealed simultaneously the name of the newly founded church as ` 611 Bread of Life Christian Church’. That very same evening, the Holy Spirit spoke to him the second time and told him to check the address as a confirmation that the name of the church should be 611 Bread of Life Christian Church. He then discovered that the meeting place he found was indeed 61 Fortress Street, 1st floor, North Point.
