Founded in the United States in 1920, Baptist Mid-Missions (thereafter as "We") is an international Christian organization and the headquarter is situated in the United States. We have over 1,000 co-workers who has been working in more than 50 countries or regions. Registered in Hong Kong as an oversea company since 1984, we are belonging to a Charitable Institution or Trust of a public character of Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. In Hong Kong, we have established Churches, as well as providing services for the elderly and children. Our Vision is in keeping with that of our parent organization in the United States, namely to proclaim Jesus Christ and provide opportunity for worship and service to those who embrace by faith in the Gospel as found in the Word of God, The Bible. While our primary application of the Gospel is to apply to the community. Therefore, we are cognizant of and eager to fulfill our responsibility to social, economic and educational needs of the Hong Kong general public. Our Mission is to provide quality social services in a Christian atmosphere in order to meet the psycho-social and genuine spiritual needs of the members and society
For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
