- Diamond Cab Foundation was founded by Doris Leung, the Founder of Diamond Cab (Hong Kong) Limited, aims at further facilitating the long-term development of barrier-free transportation, culture and environment through charity and education, focusing more on the special need of underprivileged passengers. Diamond Cab was firstly founded in 2011 providing the pioneering barrier-free taxi service, successfully changed the bad habits of taxi drivers who like to neglect or even discriminate the wheelchair-bound passengers. Diamond Cab has nurtured the first group of taxi drivers who are willing to prioritize their services for the wheelchair users as their mission. We have facilitated the ground breaking change of the traditional taxi industry and inspired more taxi operators to join in providing similar wheelchair accessible taxi service, the impact is visible and profound. In the past 11 years, Diamond Cab has accomplished over 180,000 wheelchair accessible taxi trips. Doris understands the extremely high operation cost for the barrier-free taxi fleet, in order to sustain the business, it is impossible to take care of the financially underprivileged passengers. With some experience in running charity sponsorship programs, she has decided to found Diamond Cab Foundation, search for more charitable resources and execute more innovative ideas. Diamond Cab Foundation aims to nurture more caring drivers dedicated to serve the passengers with special needs, provide them professional training and encourage them to participate in charity free rides. On one side to solve the special needs like medical visit, family reunion or even last wish in life for the underprivileged passengers , on the other side, to make good use of idle driver resources, we are dedicated to build up the new caring driving culture benefitting the aging society of Hong Kong in long run.
- For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
