- 本會始於1888年，其時福音工作伊始，未為教會訂名，首所堂會就以所在地命名為「瑞仁大街禮拜堂」。其後堂會數目增多，於三十年後，即在1918年，改名為「美瑞丹公理會」（美即美國、瑞即瑞典、而丹即丹麥）。其時，會務仍是由美國母會中國區差會主理。 及至1920年，首次正式由中西代表合組董事會，稱為「美瑞丹教會中西董事聯合會」。從此，組織遂繼續發展。 1931年，中西同工均有感，要和應母會「中國」之本位，及表達本會廣傳福音之一貫精神與目標，故決定將名稱改訂為「中國基督教播道會」，而聯合的機構則稱為「中國基督教播道會總會」。 至1949年，本會進入一個新的時期。粵省各支堂因環境因素，宣告與本會「脫離關係」，而本會總部亦於此期遷來香港。在港發展期間，本會按香港法例於1957年註冊，由各堂會另派代表組織「香港基督教播道會聯會」。此後，該組織就代表本會辦理一切有關法律及須由「法定代表」處理的工作。

FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
