Established in 2014, Friends of Asia Hong Kong Ltd. is a registered charity with a vision to promote health, wellness and education in Hong Kong. We aim to be an advocate for healthy living in the mental and physical sense, also stressing the importance of illness prevention. Our goal is to provide resources, care, and opportunity to those in need, with programming centered around sports, health and recreation. Hong Kong is a vibrant city with a full calendar of major sporting events on offer throughout the year, and Friends of Asia Hong Kong recognized an opportunity to utilize these events to raise funds for the local community while highlighting the importance of health and wellness. Together with the efforts of generous donors and volunteers, we hope to bring smiles, joy and well-being to those less fortunate in our community. Our Mission To support and develop important programs and events within the context of sports, health and recreation that promote physical, mental and spiritual wellness, and to raise funds and awareness for related needs within the community, while fostering an environment rich in values like integrity, teamwork, and social responsibility.
For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
