About

Description
Hong Kong Dignity Institute is a psychosocial legal integrated clinic, who ensure vulnerable communities have access to social care, mental health services, and legal recourse as a means of restoring dignity. The team at Hong Kong Dignity Institute, which include lawyers, counsellors, social workers, and investigators, then devise a strategy together, presenting our clients with a gameplan that address their mental health, legal and alternative solutions. • Client Services: At one time and in one space, HKDI provides individualised and integrated legal and mental health support to clients by examining needs holistically with a lens on the operating environment. • Research & Investigation: HKDI identifies the hidden factors of exploitation by mapping the interactions between criminal activity, systemic marginalisation, and traumatisation. • Knowledge Exchange: HKDI works closely with civil society, government departments, and other experts in the field, serving as a hub for coordination and collective advocacy. • Education: HKDI collaborates with academic institutions to provide experiential learning opportunities to university students whose work feed into the other three arms of our services.
For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
