Led by founder and chairman Mr Johnnie TO, Fresh Wave Film Festival Limited proactively develops resources and channels to assist emerging filmmakers, striving towards a more dynamic local film industry. Organised by Fresh Wave, the annual Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival with the aim to promote and encourage local short film production, and to discover and nurture young talents by providing funding support and a platform for showcasing their work, while enhancing their technical skills and quality through training. The Festival comprises of “Local Competition” and “International Selection.” On the other hand, the Festival collaborates with overseas film festivals and organisations in screening outstanding short films from around the world, so as to foster exchange between local and international film cultures and broaden the vision of local film practitioners and audience. Fresh Wave also continues to explore into the areas of film criticism, outreach and cultural exchange, building a conducive environment for filmmaking and appreciation through retrospectives, school screenings and talk events.

Throughout the development of Cantonese Opera over the last century, many brilliant artists have put a lot of effort in adopting the tradition, inspiring the successors and reforming Cantonese Opera. Thanks to their effort, Cantonese Opera has developed into its present form. Amongst different forms of arts, Cantonese Opera truly represents Hong Kong as it is the only form of art that was developed locally and has been enjoyed by people of several generations. Thus, the status of Cantonese Opera like Japanese Noh Opera and Beijing Opera should be duly recognized and inherited by our younger generation. The Cantonese Opera Advancement Association was established in 2008 with the above vision and was registered as a non-profit making organization, with a view to promoting Chinese Opera.

Zuni has been visited to more than 80 cities in Europe, Asia, and America for cultual exchange and performances. In 1987, Zuni established the Art Education Unit for the purpose of promoting the development of local art education and organising different types of visual and performing arts education programmes. The Hong Kong Amateur Radio Transmitting Society (HARTS), having the history of over 90 years, being a Society for Amateur Radio hams, is the only MemberSociety of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in Hong Kong. HARTS devotedly promotes Amateur Radio activities and serves the ham community by installing and maintaining beacon and repeaters. HARTS VHF/UHF repeaters are located at Tai Mo Shan, Tate Cairn, Victoria Peak, Tin Shui Wai and Sai Kung. Representatives from HARTS try every effort to protect the right and interest of hams. We collate views and comments to the Office of the Communications Authority and maintain harmonious relationship with other radio societies, local and overseas as well. The goals of “HARTS” are as follows: (a) To promote the science and practice of amateur radio communication and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas related to same; (b) To consult and negotiate with or otherwise persuade all relevant governmental and international authorities to create and maintain a regulatory environment conducive to the practice and growth of amateur radio in Hong Kong and elsewhere; (c) To hold regular meetings for the discussion of “HARTS” business and of developments in amateur radio and related fields; (d) To maintain membership in and liaison with the international Amateur Radio Union, as the sole representative of amateur radio in Hong Kong; (e) To establish and maintain bilateral relations with national societies outside Hong Kong as may be advisable to further the other goals of “HARTS”; (f) To solicit the affiliation with “HARTS” representations to government; (g) To maintain and operate amateur radio voice repeaters, date repeaters, propagation beacons, or any other type of amateur radio communication station or facility deemed necessary or advisable by the Executive Committee; (h) To administer, under agreement with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, examinations for the amateur radio license in Hong Kong; and, (i) To provide emergency radio network to facilitate rescue of human life and property in case of natural disaster or other calamity to the community of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, or/and any other territory as determined by the Executive Committee; and (j) To provide radio network to any charitable or non-profit making organization with the overall objective of serving the community of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, or/and any other territory as determined by the Executive Committee; (k) To operate an incoming and outgoing QSL card bureau for the use of “HARTS” members and other Hong Kong amateur operators as determined by the Executive Committee.
