100WF Hong Kong Foundation Limited
International and Foreign AffairsOur mission is to strengthen the global finance industry by empowering women to achieve their professional potential at each career stage. We operate under a guiding principle that we call Vision 30/40. It is the goal for women to occupy 30% of senior investment roles and executive committee positions by 2040. Even with our efforts, and those of so many other organizations working towards gender equity, we still have quite a way to go for women to hold even close to the number of investment or executive roles in finance that men currently hold.

Read-Cycling Company Limited
Arts and Culture and HumanitiesEducationocal charity Read-Cycling (IR No. 91/10408) is committed to promoting book recycling and sustainable lifestyles since 2009. The story began when book lover mom Cynthia suddenly came to realise that their house was overflowing with books, grown-ups’ and children’s. Food Commons Foundation Limited
Environment and AnimalsPublic and Societal BenefitFood Commons Foundation is a tax-exempt charity dedicated to tackling the problem of excessive leftover food and its social, environmental, and economic consequences. Our primary goal is to collect edible surplus food from sources such as markets and retailers, reducing landfill pressure and environmental pollution while redistributing nutritious food to those in need. We also explore innovative food up-cycling solutions to maximize the value of rescued food. By linking social welfare and environmental organizations, government, and the business sector, the Foundation strives to reduce waste, support communities, and create green job opportunities. We remain committed to a community-oriented approach, encouraging broad participation beyond a single funding source, and aim to extend food recovery efforts to all 18 districts of Hong Kong. Food Commons is the community-based resource network under the Foundation, fostering long-term collaboration among action groups, businesses, government, and public organizations to manage surplus food effectively. Since its beginnings as the Food Sharing Project in 2009, Food Commons has pioneered food recovery initiatives that combine environmental protection with community mutual aid. Operating as Food Commons Foundation Limited since 2015, we have rescued more than 11,373 metric tons of edible food, benefiting over 10.07 million people. Every HK$1 donation generates HK$6.5 worth of fresh food, supporting hundreds of grassroots families and elderly each week. With shifting government policies and the conclusion of our market recovery project, continued community support is critical to sustain this safety net and prevent fresh food from being discarded.

Green Hour Foundation Limited
Environment and AnimalsPublic and Societal BenefitWaste management is failing in Hong Kong. Trash is littered across out streets, our beautiful country parks and our beautiful beaches. We only have one planet. It is up to us to do what we can to protect it. With this in mind, Green Hour was established in 2018 to raise the awareness in the community of the importance of environmental protection. Green Hour's mission is to put an end to this nightmare through direct action. Alone, we cannot make a big difference, but together, we can make waves. By 2030, our target is to put an end to the trash issue in this city by: - Spreading a message of hope through engaging events and activities - Collecting data from cleanups and surveys to push for change - Pushing for better management of streets whilst working to support cleaners. With over 80 cleanups, 100+ weekly Bun Run's fighting food waste as well as school and corporate partnerships, Green Hour has managed to make a positive impact in Hong Kong and will continue to grow, hold more activities and work every day to reach out to a much wider audience.

Uplifters Limited
Human ServicesA scary reality awaits the millions of Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) in South-East Asia. Most, originally from the Philippines, Indonesia, and India, migrate for financial reasons; to provide a better future for themselves, their families, and the children they have to leave behind. Unfortunately, the majority fail to save, and many return home more impoverished than when they left. How can we help make the migration successful? This question prompted us to create Uplifters, www.uplifters-edu.org, in March 2018. We are the leading organization providing online education and community support to migrant domestic workers in Asia. Our signature online course, Dare to Dream, equips these workers to manage their finances effectively, prepare for the future, and improve their mental well-being. Since our inception in 2018, more than 9,500 migrant domestic workers have participated in our courses, with 83% reporting transformative changes in their lives. Beyond Dare to Dream, we offer a wide range of online courses designed to support domestic workers throughout their entire migration journey. This includes vocational training (e.g., baby care, basic caregiving skills), health and mental well-being courses (e.g., women’s health, parenting from afar), and courses to prepare for reintegration (e.g., micro-enterprise training). Our courses are facilitated by a team of more than 100 domestic workers, all Uplifters alumni who volunteer to support fellow domestic workers. The biggest challenge with online education is to get students to complete their courses. The average completion rate in the industry is ~5% (Reich & Ruipérez-Valiente, 2019) Thanks to our alumni team leaders, over 45% of our students have completed our course Dare to Dream. This is 5 to 10 times more than online education standards and especially remarkable as we are targeting an underprivileged community. MDWs use mostly basic smartphones to access the internet and have limited digital literacy and time off. In a nutshell, our goal is to combine width and depth and deliver highly impactful programmes to as many people as possible.

Captivating International Foundation Limited
Human ServicesInternational and Foreign AffairsFormally established as a registered charity in Hong Kong in 2008, Captivating International began with a mission to support children and families in remote regions of China. Fast forward to today, we’ve expanded our reach to include Nepal and the Philippines. We are proudly registered in Hong Kong, Australia, and the USA, with independently audited accounts and tax-deductible status available for donors. Captivating’s work starts by finding a grassroots local partner already doing good work in their location, but through lack of finance and administrative support, is unable to make the impact the community and its children desperately need. We help stabilize their work, strengthen their capacity, and expand their impact. Sustainability is always central—ensuring both partners and the families they serve can eventually generate their own income and maintain long-term progress. Our programs focus on empowering women, educating children, and elevating communities. Together, these three pillars work to break the cycle of poverty and transform lives. EMPOWER WOMEN We believe that when women are given the tools and opportunities to succeed, they create lasting change for their families and communities. Through microfinance and skills development programs, Captivating helps women achieve financial independence and resilience. In Nepal and the Philippines, we fund microfinance expansion programs that support women living in high-poverty areas where the risk of human trafficking is high. To date, more than 4,000 women are part of these programs—and that number is growing every year. In China, we support remote women in Sichuan and Qinghai provinces through animal husbandry and tailoring training programs. Every year, around 200 women gain skills that help them start small businesses, earn income, and support their children’s futures. EDUCATE CHILDREN Education is one of the most powerful ways to protect children and unlock brighter futures. In China, while the government now provides nine years of compulsory education, many rural students are unable to continue to senior high school due to costs associated with boarding and tuition. We partner with local registered organizations to provide scholarships to these students—helping 500 scholars in China complete high school or vocational education. In Nepal and the Philippines, we run targeted awareness and advocacy campaigns to educate children and communities about the dangers of trafficking and online exploitation. So far, over 140,000 students have participated in these programs. ELEVATE COMMUNITIES From anti-human trafficking efforts to community development projects, this strategy is essential to building a future free from exploitation—a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. In Nepal, we’ve partnered with local organizations to establish anti-human trafficking border monitoring stations, intercepting girls at risk of being trafficked into India. On average, 15 girls are rescued each month from Captivating-funded checkpoints. These stations are supported by education and prevention programs that address trafficking at its roots, particularly extreme poverty and lack of awareness. Our Village Development Programs in Nepal and the Philippines offer holistic community support. In Nepal, this includes helping over 1,000 girls return to school, reaching 2,400+ people through free health camps, and providing livelihood support to 70+ families. In the Philippines, our newest initiative aims to end the slum story for girls and women by helping out-of-school girls return to education and supporting their families toward long-term sustainability. Currently, we’re reaching over 370 families in Manila’s most vulnerable communities. THE FUTURE Captivating is always seeking new opportunities to reach more children and families in need. At any given time, we have a "wish list" of projects ranging from US$5,000 to US$300,000. If you're passionate about making one of these projects happen, we would be thrilled to collaborate—and keep you updated every step of the way. Together, let's create a world where every person can reach their full potential.
