金巴崙長老會源於美國長老會，於十八世紀末在美國一連串的復興運動中，在金巴崙郡的長老會經歷聖靈工作，教會復興、人數增長。因著按牧與教義上的意見與總會不協調下，於一八二九年正式成立金巴崙長老會。本會來華傳道早於十八世紀末開始，在湖南省藉著醫療、教育、佈道三方面作宣教工作。後來得以在中國華南區發揚光大、擴展神國，是源於一個黃金夢！

本堂簡史 一位美國萬國浸信會牧師，於六十年代來香港宣教，租用尖沙咀香港青年會 禮堂作聚會。 之後該牧師再到別的地區宣教，本地的聚會交由弟兄姊妹和一些神學生負責 這個雛形教會。 七六年禮堂租金提升，我們無力担付，考慮解散肢體，讓各自找尋合適教會 聚會。但上帝奇妙引導給一個地方(九龍城侯王道57號二樓)，可以租借在禮 拜日作崇拜之用，其餘日子不能租用，所以團契聚會還是無定向，然而上帝 總有預備及時供應團契聚會地點。 經過一輪漂流、分散式日子，於七七年四月上帝允許我們自置堂址(紅磡馬頭 圍道107號五樓)，約七百呎地方，所有聚會歸回一起，自始弟兄姊妹有了自 己屬靈的家，可以自由運用和發展。 一九八二年正式註冊為 [香港萬國浸信會] 至八五年三月我們又經歷上帝的引導和供應，購買了實用面積約一千七百呎的 地方直到如今。就是 紅磡 差館里41-43號 美安樓 二樓。本堂為獨立堂會，暫 未設有分堂。

The Community Chest now supports over 150 member social welfare agencies to provide services in six areas including Children & Youth, Family & Child Welfare, Elderly, Medical & Health, Rehabilitation & Aftercare and Community Development & Others, and benefits over 2.1 million needy in Hong Kong every year. The Chest’s administrative costs come from a subsidized grant from The Hong Kong Jockey Club, in addition to income from investments. This allows the Chest to allocate 100% of funds raised to charitable use; this operations model makes the Chest unique among its peers, and helps fulfil its mission to act as trustee of the donors.

The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong was formally incorporated on 25th October 1994. The Admission fee to the College at that time was HK$1,000 and annual fee HK$500. The Hong Kong Ophthalmological Society also donated HK$45,000 to the College for its initial running. By the second council meeting of the interim council held on 19th January 1995, we received a total of 114 applications for our College Fellowship. A total of 107 applicants were accepted with 3 rejected because of inadequate qualifications and 4 candidates required further details on their training or needed their registration rectified.

City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (CCOHK) holds a unique position as one of Asia’s leading chamber orchestras. Members are professional musicians experienced in playing diverse styles ranging from Baroque and classical to East-West crossover, tango, Bollywood and jazz. CCOHK’s mission to cultivate young audiences for music in Hong Kong has led to the creation of several original and fully staged productions incorporating actors. These include Magnificent Mozart, The Star Bach, Vivaldi Unmasked, The Bonn Man, WILD (The Musical) and Bug Symphony which won the Public Choice Award at the YAMawards in Portugal 2017. At the helm of CCOHK’s artistic and executive planning is CCOHK’s founder Leanne Nicholls, herself a prizewinning performer who was awarded a commendation certificate from the Home Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2009. French conductor Jean Thorel served as chief conductor from 2008 to 2016 and was succeeded by the Armenian conductor and pianist Vahan Mardirossian in 2019.
