Since its establishment, Green Hope has carried out various activities and projects to encourage waste reduction, advocate zero waste, and raise awareness of circular economy principles. These activities aim to arouse public interest in and educate the public on sustainable development and environmental protection issues and engage them in discussions, thus encouraging them to adopt a greener lifestyle and cultivate a sustainable mindset. Our key projects and initiatives include monthly nature clean-ups, community recycling booths, the “Codex of Waste” that records and analyses trash from our nature clean-ups, and our “Green School” education programs focusing on experiential learning. Our work in media and communications include editorial features published in community newspapers and monthly environmental news roundups, green tips and other updates published on our social media platforms. We also collaborate with social enterprises and charities on various community initiatives, such as the “Gift n Take” community fridge project and Chinese New Year rice cake charity sales, which promote resource sharing as a means to co-create a sustainable and impactful ecosystem.

Diamond Cab Foundation was founded by Doris Leung, the Founder of Diamond Cab (Hong Kong) Limited, aims at further facilitating the long-term development of barrier-free transportation, culture and environment through charity and education, focusing more on the special need of underprivileged passengers. Diamond Cab was firstly founded in 2011 providing the pioneering barrier-free taxi service, successfully changed the bad habits of taxi drivers who like to neglect or even discriminate the wheelchair-bound passengers. Diamond Cab has nurtured the first group of taxi drivers who are willing to prioritize their services for the wheelchair users as their mission. We have facilitated the ground breaking change of the traditional taxi industry and inspired more taxi operators to join in providing similar wheelchair accessible taxi service, the impact is visible and profound. In the past 11 years, Diamond Cab has accomplished over 180,000 wheelchair accessible taxi trips. Doris understands the extremely high operation cost for the barrier-free taxi fleet, in order to sustain the business, it is impossible to take care of the financially underprivileged passengers. With some experience in running charity sponsorship programs, she has decided to found Diamond Cab Foundation, search for more charitable resources and execute more innovative ideas. Diamond Cab Foundation aims to nurture more caring drivers dedicated to serve the passengers with special needs, provide them professional training and encourage them to participate in charity free rides. On one side to solve the special needs like medical visit, family reunion or even last wish in life for the underprivileged passengers , on the other side, to make good use of idle driver resources, we are dedicated to build up the new caring driving culture benefitting the aging society of Hong Kong in long run.

Future Generations promotes community-led development in partnership with government as a proven, alternative path to improving people’s lives and places. The core of Future Generations work is a system that communities and governments can use to shape their futures. This system can create large nature preserves, rapid social change, extend health services, or help countries rebound from conflict. Future Generations China has been committed to environmental protection in China since our founder helped establish a protected area around Mt. Everest in 1989. Much of our work involving communities that border national nature preserves is endorsed by Chinese president, Hu Jintao. We envision a world where humans and nature co-exist with one another in harmony, and with balance between development and protection. Future Generations China focuses on fragile ecosystems that are of great ecological significance.

Chinese International School (漢基國際學校) is a private coeducational school, located in Hong Kong, for students in Reception to Year 13 (pre-K to12). A defining characteristic is its bilingual programme taught in English and Chinese (Mandarin). Students come from diverse backgrounds, with over 30 nationalities represented. At the Secondary level, students pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years and Diploma programmes. The campus is located in the residential neighbourhood of Braemar Hill in North Point, adjacent to country park green areas. It is a member of the G20 Schools association.

In many cases art and culture have proved to be an effective means to foster respect and understanding and promote social harmony. They can provide an open space and platform for for expression and discussion about difficult social, historic, and ethnic issues. Since its inception in 2007, Lumenvisum has successfully demonstrated how photography as an independent form of artistic expression can also play a vital role in social development, in enhancing dialogue and bridge-building through our multifarious art education and community art programmes. In "Dong Jia II" (2009), a project collaborated with Arts Promotion Office, HKSAR Government, we have seen how ordinary Hong Kong people view Hong Kong as their "homes" and the visions they have for the city. In "Tou Dei Gung Gung" (2011), we have led workshop members to approach the issues of public space in the city through their lenses. "Whispering from the South" (2012) in collaboration with the social services agency Christian Action reflects the lives of South Asian minorities in Hong Kong, as an attempt to bridge mutual understandings between the mainstream Chinese community and the minority groups. The on-going Kwun Tong Yue Man Square Redevelopment Documentation is an ambitious project which set out to document the urban renewal process of Yue Man Square of Kwun Tong, one of the oldest, most populated areas in the city in a twelve-year timeframe. Now in its eighth phase, the project continues to evolve and meet new challenges. The 3-year "18x24: Photo Adventure in Hong Kong" project strategically targets the youth and the elderly, encompassing extensive workshops and photo shooting and sharing activities all around the 18 districts in Hong Kong. From the resulting image archive of over 2000 images that the participants collaboratively built, we are able to appreciate how photography is ultimately not about presenting skills but personal feelings and perspectives, and how we can enrich our life through image-making. The project has been well received by the general public and well recognised within the art community, having received the Award for Arts Education (non-school division), HKADC Arts Awards 2014.
