Watchdog Early Education Centre, founded in 1983, is a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong dedicated to providing intensive and well-rounded early intervention and therapy programming for English and Cantonese speaking SEN children under six. Serving over 750 children annually with challenges of a wide spectrum of varying degrees including autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, global developmental delays, Downs Syndrome, cerebral palsy and hyperactivity, we aim at helping SEN children to fulfil their potential at their earliest possible age and preparing them for entry into the mainstream school system. Watchdog run separate English and Chinese programmes for the assessment and training of key development areas in cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, sensory integration, self-help skill, expressive and receptive language, and social skills. We offer psychological assessment, specialist teaching both on an individual basis or small group setting, Speech therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Music Therapy.
For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently
Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
