- The Global Chinese Breast Cancer Organizations Alliance was founded in 2006 by a group of breast cancer survivors and registered as a not-for-profit charitable organization in 2016. We are dedicated to support breast cancer patients, promote breast health education, advocating for prevention and treatment of breast cancer. We are a platform that connect all Chinese Breast Cancer groups worldwide to mitigate the threat of breast cancer on Chinese women. “Pink Angel Service” is a unique and FREE OF CHARGE service launched by GCBC in 2017, through which breast cancer survivors offer supports to newly diagnosed patients during treatment, offering companionship, telephone hot line and sharing their experiences to relieve their anxiety and stress. The Service has received recognition and was awarded “The Social Capital Builder logo” by the Hong Kong Labour and Welfare Bureau for multiple consecutive years.
- For over 25 years FOCUS has been a trusted resource for Hong Kong parents, educators and medical professionals seeking to learn how to better support the academic and social lives of children with mainstream learning differences. FOCUS aims to improve educational and life outcomes of children with AD/HD and SpLD by expanding understanding and raising awareness of what it means to have a mind that learns differently Our mission is is to improve the education of mainstream students who are challenged by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) by providing accurate evidence-based information, practical strategies and support to parents and professionals in education and healthcare and by improving understanding of how learning differences impact youth both emotionally and academically.
