- Lifeline Express Hong Kong Foundation is a registered charitable organization (IRD File No: 91/4895) established in 1997 in Hong Kong, to raise funds to support the operation of the Lifeline Express. Lifeline Express is a well-equipped hospital eye-train, aiming to provide free operations for the underprivileged cataract patients in Mainland China. This purpose-built four compartments eye-train consists of an Examination Room, two Operating Theatres, a Patient Ward, a Multi-function Conference Room and a Living Quarter for medical team. In July 1, 1997, the first hospital eye-train embarked on its mission of light to Fuyang City, Auhui Province, China. In 1999, 2002 and 2009 the second, third and fourth hospital eye-trains come into service.
