Duty Lawyer Service, The

The Duty Lawyer Service is an organization fully subvented by the Hong Kong SAR Government. It was first established in 1978. It is managed by the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Law Society of Hong Kong through a governing council and is administered by a legally qualified Administrator. The Duty Lawyer Service offers four legal assistance schemes to complement the legal aid services provided by the Legal Aid Department. The four schemes are the Duty Lawyer Scheme, the Free Legal Advice Scheme, the Tel-Law Scheme and the Legal Assistance Scheme for Non-refoulement Claimants.

Community Cultural Concern (CCC) is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2006. Our mission is community building with cultural-social innovation, so as to empower citizens to engage in the community. Our major projects include Viva Blue House (Living Preservation of the Blue House Heritage Cluster) and planning of new Choi Yuen Village. Since 2013, CCC has taken roots in Tokwawan, with the “Community Builder Scheme" to engage the community with arts, and community participatory planning project for urban renewal site. In view of the different crisis in the community, we aspire to weave a tough network for Tokwawan together with the residents and people from different sectors.

Beam International Foundation Limited 逸傑國際慈善基金會有限公司 (“BEAM”), is a medical charity headquartered in Hong Kong (IR File No. 91/3709) to provide free surgeries for underprivileged children with cleft lips and / or cleft palates in China. Through its local entities and partner hospitals in China, BEAM organises medical missions throughout China. Medical treatments are carried out by accredited medical volunteers with the support of non-medical volunteers. Volunteers come from China and overseas. BEAM also aims to build the long term capability of medical professionals in China through formal training, internship and exchanges between professionals.
