Gabriele Allegra, founder of the Studium Biblicum Hong Kong, he mentioned of his desire to open a Bible Centre where Bible lessons could be taught, exhibitions be organized and other biblical activities be conducted in an atmosphere of prayer. 30 years later Fr Benjamin Leong, director of the Studium, wrote to the Franciscan Minister General, reiterating the unfulfilled dream of Blessed Fr Allegra and the opportune time to open such a centre in 2001. This dream was finally realized on Dec. 20th, 2003 when the Duns Scotus Bible Centre was officially blessed by the Vicar General of the Hong Kong diocese, Very Rev. Dominic Chan. Named after the patron of the Studium Biblicum, as Blessed Fr Allegra had desired, the Centre is located in Leighton Centre, Causeway Bay and is accessible by every public means of transport. As a leading Bible apostolate institute in the hub of the city, Duns Scotus Bible Centre provides a competent and dynamic service to the Chinese Church based on the Church’s teaching and always in a spirit of ecumenism, as planned by Blessed Fr. Allegra.

The CIC-ZCP raises awareness on the importance of green building design locally and internationally, and aspires to boost the public’s ecological value and living in low carbon lifestyle. With more than 200 species of flowers and trees at CIC-ZCP, as Hong Kong’s first urban native woodland, the area’s natural heartland, brings in birds and other animals start creating a very bio-diversified environment, to make it become a lush and vibrant sanctuary for visitors to relax. Most importantly, to create a paradigm shift towards sustainable living, and function as ‘green lungs’ for the high-density environment, breathing clean air and new life into Hong Kong. CIC-Zero Carbon Park (CIC-ZCP) is to serve as an exhibition centre, an education center and an information center for zero/low carbon building design and technologies, as well as promoting low carbon living in Hong Kong. It shall showcase the state-of-the-art eco-building design and technologies to the local and international construction industry. Also, it shall raise community awareness of low carbon living in Hong Kong and promote behavioral changes towards low carbon living. Moreover, it shall disseminate the latest information on low/zero carbon building technologies and share the smart city practices with industry stakeholders.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by 16 prominent HK local and overseas institutions to form the "Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM)". The current CGCM membership has 162 academic institutional members and 26 industrial affiliate members. CGCM will be positioned as a global, non-profit, non-discriminatory and non-political organization, with a mission of advancing the field of Chinese herbal medicine to benefit human kind through joint efforts of the academic institutions, industries and regulatory agencies around the world, by achieving our goals.
